Try the traditional Khmer Potter's Wheel!Have fun and try throwing your own creation on a traditional Khmer potter's wheel! Learn some of the techniques to operate this interesting "kick wheel" under the direction of your English speaking instructor.
This experience will allow your friends to photograph you working on the traditional wheel and you will have the opportunity to see what kind of coordination is needed to make traditional Khmer wheel-thrown works. If you produce a piece that you'd like to own, we are happy to finish and fire the work for an additional fee. We can even ship it to your hotel or to your home for you! WorkshopsWork on the traditional Khmer Potter's wheel or use hand building techniques to create your own work of art! Using the pieces at our studio for inspiration and our experts for guidance, you'll have the opportunity to make a piece that's uniquely yours!
Individuals and groups are welcome! We enjoy working with everyone including groups from schools. Our experience includes working with many of the local organizations leading youth workshops. We would love to meet and work with your group as well! Workshops include the materials required, including 400gr of clay, as well as guidance from our instructors. Your work will be fired and should be ready in 48 hours. The finished item can be picked up at Angkor Pottery Center, delivered to your hotel, or shipped to your home.
